Yes! Big time. Did you realize the gaming industry is BIGGER than the movie industry? It's a 10B industry. This would be a fabulous way to engage and involve alumni. Imagine them playing from home (or work) against your rivals and having playoffs. This could engage MORE alumni than traditional events.
